Greenhouse Insect light traps are a safe and effective alternative to traditional pesticides. These devices do not require any mixing or spraying and can be placed anywhere in a greenhouse. They are also completely silent and do not contain toxic chemicals. They are safe for children and pets. And they do not damage the plants, as they don't emit any harmful emissions.

LED-YC traps were used to control the number of pest insects in poinsettia greenhouses. While LED-YC traps did not attract beneficial insects, they did trap a significant number of rove beetles. However, additional studies are needed to determine the exact impact of LED-YC traps on pest populations. Insects captured in this study were less than one-third of the original number.

A new study has found that adult greenhouse whiteflies were most attracted to a UV-green LED complex, while the majority of previous cage studies used green and UV LEDs. Although green and UV LEDs have the most sensitive light receptors, they are not the only wavelengths a pest can respond to.
